New Anthems II is the second interactive telephonic cut-up commissioned by the Judith Wright Centre for Contemporary Arts.

By inserting words via SMS into iconic Australian texts, participants can play with expressions of national identity. Custom designed sculptural typography use neon, fibre optics, LED displays, recycled cardboard and timber.

This installation offered a line from Dorothea Mackellar’s poem My Country: “I love a sunburnt country, A land of flooding plains”.
