Fluidata

Fluidata is a Waterwheel project that uses a range of processes to bring people of all ages into touch with their local waterways, into connection with each other, and to create an interactive aesthetic response to water.

Project artists share their processes with local participants in regional areas throughout the state. Environmental explorations along local waterways form the basis of walking-based performances captured by a range of digital and emerging media including time-lapse video, photography, GPS tracking, movement-sensor data and high definition sound recordings to tell stories of place.

Waterwheel was a pioneering interactive, collaborative platform exploring water as a topic and metaphor; an online space for sharing media and ideas, performance and presentation. The initiative was a collaboration between Suzon Fuks, Igneous and Inkahoots, and involved participants from many countries around the world.

Waterwheel included a place for uploading and sharing media about water, an online venue for presentations, workshops & performances and a global map of events about water.
