With fellow members of the Collective Futures Group, Inkahoots presented ‘Fundamental Sounds’, a live concert and visual performance celebrating sustainability. The event brought together a range of musicians and other performers to illustrate that cultural change is as much a part of the sustainability agenda as environmental technology.
“Without sustainment we have nothing. Acting for sustainment means we recognise and respond to what is fundamentally common to all humanity and all living beings. Music and image are fundamental to everyone.”
Inkahoots collaborated with artist Keith Armstrong to create a moving image work for the event. Musicians included didgeridoo player William Barton and saxophonist Sandy Evans. Soundscapes by Ian Blake. Percussion by Jon Jones. Dance by Indonesian group Saman. Produced by Tony Fry.
At the Conservatorium Theatre, Brisbane, 2.12.2007
Collective Futures Group members included Tony Fry and Anne-Marie Willis, Keith Armstrong, Jim Gall, and Inkahoots.
