We're currently testing and tweaking an interactive installation about invasive species for Queensland State Archives.
Ever since livestock was introduced by the First Fleet in 1788, and possibly even earlier, when cats may have escaped from the ships of 17th century Dutch explorers, Queensland’s unique natural environment has been under pressure from invasive species (not least the human colonisers).
Contribute your photos and your thoughts on how invasive plants and animals impact life at placeinvaders.com.au. This user generated content will drive our projected installation.
Stay tuned on info about where and when to play!
