June 2011 / Memefest Workshop
The Memefest website will post workshop outcomes soon. The week-long collaboration at the Oddstream Festival in an old factory in Nijmegen was both an anticipated culmination and a bounty of new beginnings. You don’t put 25 unique radical practitioners and theorists in close confinement for 7 intense days and nights without consequence.
So many different backgrounds, approaches and understandings could have been a recipe for a wasted week. Instead there were exciting revelations and wonderful friendships forged. Aside from the screen printed maps, plans for further development of critical tools and strategies have begun. If all goes well, the world itself will tilt on its axis, and new ones will be born...
